Our History
For over 60 years, the name Robinson has been
associated with the potato industry in Prince Edward
Island, Canada. In 1942, Eric Robinson took over the
operation of his family's farm in Augustine Cove. Today,
the business he started operates four divisions and is
widely involved in Prince Edward Island's potato
industry, from new product development through to product
distribution. |

Eric C. Robinson Inc. is still very much a family owned and
operated agri-business. In 1962, Mr. Robinson's two sons, John and Alan,
joined him in his newly incorporated produce and
pesticide dealership. Decades later, there is still
active involvement of Robinson family members in the
business. The Robinson family is dedicated to the
operation and ownership of this progressive, Island
agri-business. Today the company has approximately 30
full time and 15 part time employees serving markets
throughout North America. |
Our Mission Statement
Our mission is to be a leader in the PEI potato
industry, with a primary focus on meeting the needs of
the PEI potato producers whom we serve. To continue to be
successful, we must balance the needs of Island producers
with those of our customers, suppliers, truckers,
employees, shareholders, environment and community. Our
company will continually seek new products, new methods,
new markets and new areas of business.
Our Values
Leadership means consistently meeting our
customers' needs; being innovative, conducting
business in a manner that respects, protects and enhances
our natural resources; and being actively involved in the
agriculture industry. Leadership also implies financial
stability and success.
Teamwork means that we work together to achieve
common goals and that we offer opportunities for
challenge, job satisfaction, financial reward and
long-term employment. Teamwork is also about building
long-term business relationships with our customers and
suppliers, relationships built on trust, loyalty and
mutual benefit.
Integrity is about doing the right thing -
consistently treating our customers, suppliers, truckers,
employees and owners with fairness, honesty and respect.
Profitability is meaningful only if we act with
integrity.
Family is an important part of the Eric C.
Robinson Inc. tradition. The involvement of three
generations of Robinsons in Eric C. Robinson Inc. has
shaped the company into what it is today. Robinson values
of hard work, pride in work done well, and respect for
people and the land are deeply imbedded in the company.
